Tráfico de blancas

Publicado

Human traffic

When I was studying in Dallas, Texas, I met an organization that deals with immoral issues such as sexual abuse, child abuse, pornography, abortion and human trafficking, the latter being the one I helped most closely.

For any of these immoral matters, we held plays, as well as workshops to help prevent the problem. I participated in a play in which I had to play a girl who was deceived and ended up being used for human trafficking.

Playing this character impacted my life, so much so that every time I did I felt her pain and despair; They were feelings that I had never felt, much less have I experienced. At night I had nightmares, so I ended up in prayer, because otherwise I suffered emotional falls, although deep down I knew it wasn’t me.

In the group we had days of prayer and fasting dedicated to the topic in which we helped. We prayed for the victims, their families, for the traffickers, the clients, the government and the church, which needs to get up and have knowledge and empathy for these kinds of problems.

Many women, men, boys or girls are abused and trafficked, and a very low percentage of them can save themselves from such atrocious situations as being abused more than 42 times a day, which is why they prefer to be drugged so as not to feel, and others wish for death, so their life expectancy is less than a year.

It’s sad that sometimes we don’t want to think about it because what they live seems ugly to us, but the day you do, change your thinking and also raise your voice for them, because they need our prayers so that they can know God and reach the salvation. He wants us all to meet those souls who deserve to know who their savior is before they die.

It’s also good to pray for those who harm. I know it is difficult to pray for them, but they are the ones who need God the most, because their whole being is in darkness.

Maybe this can lead us to question God about how he allows young people, children and adults to be victims of these situations, but believe me, what the Lord wants the least for us is to go through something like that, he hates it.

God takes care of their spirit and soul, giving them strength for being helpless and weak victims. He’s their light in the midst of that darkness, giving them hope in their hearts, justice through their prayers.

When we activate ourselves in prayer advocating for them, in their soul they receive peace and the touch of God’s love. We are their prayer intercessors, who fight their battles.

You don’t need to be in an organization or ministry to do something, what you need is to pray; prayer has a lot of power, believe me that, by saving a soul, you gave it freedom. With your prayer you say “enough is enough”.

Now that you have read this I know that you will never be the same; I did not speak in detail about the subject but I spoke to your soul so that you pray for the soul of another.

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy, and make sure that justice is done to them” PROVERBS 31: 8-9 NTV

Proverbios 4:18

Mensaje a mujeres visionarias

Love who you are called to be!

Evelyn Corral tells us about her life and her fabulous project, Field Operations Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso

Evelyn Corral is the current director of Field Operations Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso, which she founded after her time in the classrooms of El Paso as a bilingual teacher.

An example to follow

“My dad is a dreamer and always has been; he would sit on the El Chamizal bridge and look towards El Paso with bright eyes and say, ‘One day I will be there,’ then with 60 dollars and a pregnant girlfriend (my mother), they headed to Los Angeles, California”, recalls Corral, who adds that his resilience was evident.

She admired her grandmothers and parents, their determination, and their sacrifices. “This foundation built my character, and I knew I had the task of making my life worthwhile, making a difference, (but) I just didn’t know what that would look like,” she says.

Education

Evelyn Corral tells Visionarias that her parents decided to move to El Paso when she was two weeks away from finishing fourth grade. “When I arrived, the teacher asked me to introduce myself to the class and explain in English why we had moved, and I couldn’t do it; I felt embarrassed, and the rest of the class laughed, so I was afraid to enter the fifth degree.”

“My fifth-grade teacher, Miss Keating, marked a before and after in my school life. She validated, believed in me, and showed a genuine interest in creating a safe classroom environment. After fifth grade, I advanced to more advanced classes in middle school, graduated in the top ten of my high school class, and earned my bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Music, Communications, and Humanities from the University of Texas at El Paso ( UTEP)”, she mentions. Our interviewee also became certified as a teacher in bilingual education in Texas and completed her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon.

Beginnings

“My first job as a teacher was teaching in a fourth-grade bilingual classroom, the same grade I was in when I arrived in El Paso. At that moment, I knew I was teaching kids in the same situation I was in, and they had a special place in my heart,” she says.

She adds that after four years, she went on to teach educators about reading practices and active learning in grades kindergarten through fifth. Later, she was hired as an Educational Technology Specialist, a position in which she provided district-level professional development for K-12 teachers, administrators, and counselors. Then, she felt the call, “I took a leap of faith and ventured into what I do now, director of Field Operations Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso.”

Your mission

Field Operations Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso tells us that their mission is to empower all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, loving, and responsible citizens. “Every day, we see our children’s difficulties, and we do our best to close those gaps.”

“We seek to close the educational poverty gap and provide opportunities that will change the future of many children in our city,” she says.

They currently serve five school districts and have 13 club locations, all free to the families they serve.

“We want to be like the morning sun, shining brighter and brighter until full daylight.”

Message to visionary women

To all our readers, Evelyn says, “Love who you are called to be! Some things you see as imperfections may be what others need. Some of the most wonderful people are those who don’t fit in. Be disciplined, and remember to have boundaries! Not everyone needs to know everything about you. See rejection as a reorientation. The world needs more stories, dreamers, agents of change, and people who take action. Be brave and act!”

¿Has tenido una amistad especial?

Have you had a special special friendship?

People chosen in the right way can become family to us

Friendship is one of the most important values we have because, as human beings, we are social by nature, and we constantly need to surround ourselves with people of great value to us.

The exciting thing about friendship is achieving an affective bond, which grows over time.

Regarding interpersonal relationships, friendship is a bond in which it is easy to establish rules without needing someone else to impose them since everything is the decision of those who participate.

Friendship comes from the Latin word amicus, which translates as “friend,” this term comes from amare, which means “to love.” That is why, when we surround ourselves with people, we must be true to ourselves to find loyalty, trust, respect, sincerity, happiness, and support, among other things.

Nowadays, we can observe and hear that true friendships have ceased to be forged; even some people no longer believe in such close relationships, but I firmly believe that if we take the right path, where we understand that having a friendship means to love and love sincerely and selflessly and express a reciprocal affection, it will be nurtured over time, treatment and experiences.

I invite you to enjoy memorable, happy, or funny moments with people of value to you, those we consider “family by choice,” real people with a lasting relationship.

Diseña tu futuro

Publicado

Design your future

Do it through the heart, the channel from which a new future is formed, nurtured, and born

When discussing design, the first thing that comes to mind is likely topics related to artistic expression, architecture, or other related subjects.

The faculties of imagination, design, and creation imply sharing our inner world with others. Still, when we feel ready to share it, we have to consider the advice of the writer of Proverbs, which refers to training, developing, or training the heart to expand and strengthen it.

The heart is the vehicle that leads us every day to be able to translate the future, which exists as a seed within each of us to make a difference in the world we live in, but it needs to be correctly connected with what God has said about us.

The heart is the most important of all the things we can train because it is the channel through which your future is formed, nurtured, and born.

Your heart is designed to expand into life, into new challenges. As the Bible tells us in Matthew 25:14-30, “Jesus spoke of the importance of accepting what has been entrusted to us and putting it into practice.” Training the heart is the ability to live by becoming stronger daily, clearing the way through the word, and trusting that God has more in store for you (you can’t imagine God’s plans in mind).

It’s not an easy task; it will take time, too, so why train it? Will it be worth all the effort?

Proverbs 4:23 gives us the answer when it tells us that from the heart comes life. Keeping it healthy leads us to see life in the best way, to take the future deposited in us to bring it to reality.

The Father has good plans for each one of us and has created good works for us to walk on, so we need our hearts to be able to manifest each one of his plans so we can begin to design a future full of happiness next to a father who loves us and only wants the best for each one of us.

So don’t forget that “your heart was designed to expand into life.”
