Ericka López, voz principal en la iglesia La Mies de El Paso, Texas, ilumina con su talento y determinación en el escenario y fuera de él, ya que además lidera un grupo de profesionales de diseño y desarrollo tecnológico, convirtiéndose en un ejemplo para las y los ingenieros que este mes celebran su día en México.

También honramos a Georgina Sánchez, abogada cuya trayectoria y habilidades han ganado el respeto de su gremio e inspira a nuevas generaciones a seguir sus pasos.

En Visionarias, nos enorgullece amplificar las historias de mujeres que no solo sobresalen en sus campos, sino que también guían el camino hacia la igualdad y el progreso.

En esta edición hallarás también artículos sobre la importancia de meditar, de cuidar tu salud metal y de sembrar la confianza entre parejas.

Welcome to July and the second half of our year. In this edition, we are pleased to highlight the inspiring journeys of two women who have challenged professional barriers.

Ericka López, the lead vocalist at La Mies church in El Paso, Texas, shines on stage and off with her talent and determination. She also leads a group of design and technology development professionals, becoming a role model for engineers celebrating their day this month in Mexico.

We also honor Georgina Sánchez, an attorney whose career and skills have earned her the respect of her peers and who inspires new generations to follow in her footsteps.

At Visionarias, we take pride in amplifying the stories of women who excel in their fields and lead the way toward equality and progress.

This edition also includes articles on meditation, mental health care, and fostering trust in relationships.

May these stories motivate us to pursue our dreams with courage and conviction!

Inicia la nueva temporada de verano y con él llegan las vacaciones, además del no tan celebrado Día del Padre, por lo que este mes de junio Visionarias se dio a la tarea de trabajar en una portada para los varones, quienes realizan una gran labor al proveer y cuidar de su familia.

Por ese motivo, aprovecho para felicitar a los padres de las mujeres que mes a mes leen nuestra revista, así como a todos a los padres de México, sobre todo al padre de mis hijas, Manuel Sotelo, a quien admiro por su entrega, apoyo y amor incondicional a sus hijos.

En esta edición tenemos en portada a mi pastor, Iván Reveles, quién está al frente de la iglesia Linaje Bendito, donde nos instruye en la palabra y nos apoya en la oración.

Y si por algún motivo no tuviste o no tienes padre, te invito a que conozcas a Dios como ese padre bueno que se revela a todos los que se acercan, le buscan y le honran, conocerlo a él será lo mejor que te pueda pasar en la vida, él no falla y siempre está contigo, muestra su amor en toda situación.

The new summer season begins, and with it comes vacations, in addition to the not-so-celebrated Father’s Day. So, this June, Visionarias was given the task of working on a cover for men, who play a unique and invaluable role in providing and caring for their families.

For this reason, I take this opportunity to congratulate the fathers of the women who read our magazine every month, as well as all the fathers of Mexico, especially the father of my daughters, Manuel Sotelo, whom I admire for his dedication, support and unconditional love for his children.

In this edition, we have on the cover my pastor, Ivan Reveles, who is in charge of the Linaje Bendito church, where he instructs us in the word and supports us in prayer.

And if, for some reason, you did not have or do not have a father, I invite you to know God as that good father who reveals himself to all who approach, seek, and honor him; knowing him will be the best thing that can happen to you in life. He does not fail and is always with you; he shows his love in every situation.

Sin duda para esta hermosa frontera el Día de la Madre nunca pasa desapercibido, incluso, las mujeres para quienes la maternidad ya no es un tema importante, no se olvidan de festejar a su mamá.

He visto que hay diversos tipos de “madre”, pues no sólo es la mujer que concibe, a veces es la tía que cuida, la abuela que ayuda o la amiga que ama y aconseja.

La Biblia tiene un regalo para aquellos quienes honran a su padre y madre, pese a que dice que no tienen que ser buenos para honrarlos, aunque sí nos menciona que tendremos una promesa divina por hacerlo, se trata de una larga vida.

En mayo para reconocerlas, nos da muchísimo gusto presentarte la entrevista con la licenciada Gaby Acosta, catedrática de la Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ), quien supo combinar el tiempo de su profesión con el de ser madre, así como con la pastora Alma Cristina de Santiago, quien enfrentó a una vida difícil, de la cual salió por amor a sus hijos y con la ayuda de Dios.

También tenemos entrevistas con otras personalidades de nuestra ciudad, las cuales trabajan siempre en beneficio de la comunidad.

Without a doubt, Mother’s Day never goes unnoticed in this beautiful frontier; even women for whom motherhood is no longer a significant issue do not forget to celebrate their mother.

I have seen different types of “mothers”; not only is she the woman who conceives, but sometimes she is the aunt who cares the grandmother who helps, or the friend who loves and advises.

The Bible has a gift for those who honor their father and mother, although it says that they do not have to be good to honor them; although it does mention that we will have a divine promise for doing so, it is a long life.

In May, to recognize them, we are happy to present you the interview with Gaby Acosta, professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ), who knew how to combine the time of her profession with that of being a mother, as well as with the pastor Alma Cristina de Santiago, who faced a difficult life, from which she came out of it for the love of her children and with God’s help.

We also have interviews with other personalities in our city who always work for the benefit of the community.
