Creando lazos, por un mismo objetivo
La licenciada Nidia Quezada es coordinadora de Enlaces con OSC en el DIF Municipal, la cual tiene como finalidad crear lazos entre la sociedad civil y el Gobierno Municipal de Juárez
Nidia Quezada Domínguez, es licenciada en Diseño de Interiores en la Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) y es orgullosamente madre de Emi Valentina Shiguetomi, de 12 años.
En el 2021, Nidia fue invitada a participar en el Gobierno municipal de Ciudad Juárez, inició en la Coordinación de Relaciones Públicas, un año y medio después, le ofrecieron la oportunidad de colaborar en el DIF municipal, en la Coordinación de Enlaces con Organizaciones de la Sociedad Civil (OSC), de dicha dependencia.
Función de la Coordinación de Enlaces
Una de las funciones más importantes es atender y enlazar a las asociaciones civiles con el DIF municipal y la comunidad en general.
La Coordinación se encarga de colaborar con las asociaciones civiles en su capacitación, por medio de talleres, cursos, conferencias y en diversos temas de interés, según la labor social que desarrollan, así como lograr la vinculación con el área empresarial de la localidad.
Importancia de mantener relaciones sólidas entre OSC y el Gobierno municipal de Juárez
Las Organizaciones Civiles son agrupaciones fundamentalmente constituidas por ciudadanos, en lazos asociativos, que realizan actividades de defensa y respeto a los derechos humanos, así como de apoyo o asistencia a terceros, sin fines de lucro y que no persiguen beneficios personales, sino sociales y comunitarios, por ello, es fundamental que el Gobierno trabaje de la mano con éstas, ya que éste es quien de manera organizada inscribe a las OSC y les brinda el apoyo, para que por medio de los programas que maneja, puedan acceder a apoyos económicos, estímulos públicos, gocen de incentivos fiscales y administrativos, reciban donativos o aportaciones en términos de las disposiciones fiscales y demás ordenamientos aplicables.
También, pueden recibir beneficios de convenios o tratados internacionales, para recibir asesoría, capacitación y colaboración por parte de las dependencias y entidades gubernamentales, para un mejor cumplimento de su labor social.
Desafíos como enlace de OSC
Nidia comentó que el mayor desafío es sólo la falta de comunicación o información, para enlazar a ambos sectores, para que de manera conjunta se trabaje en favor de la comunidad. Sin embargo, comentó que en base a su experiencia “la respuesta ha sido muy gratificante y positiva, ya que los juarenses tienen un deseo natural de servir y ayudar al prójimo”.
Impacto positivo en la comunidad
El DIF municipal de Juárez en colaboración con la Iglesia de “Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días” y por medio de la Coordinación de Enlaces con OSC del DIF, logró entregar apoyos en especie al albergue Kiki Romero, por alrededor de un millón de pesos en diciembre 2023.
Como institución, el DIF municipal tiene como objetivo principal brindar asistencia y protección a los más vulnerables de nuestra sociedad. Los migrantes representan uno de los grupos más necesitados en el mundo actual, ya que a menudo se encuentran lejos de sus hogares y enfrentan numerosos desafíos en su búsqueda de una vida mejor y más segura.
Señaló que, es fundamental para esta frontera tener albergues como el Kiki Romero; que les brinden un lugar seguro, alimentos y asistencia humanitaria, en el cual, los migrantes pueden encontrar un respiro, durante su difícil travesía. “Fue un honor atender, gestionar y supervisar esta comisión, tan importante para el Gobierno municipal de Juárez”, declaró Quezada.
Mujeres representan la mayoría
De manera conjunta se trabaja con las asociaciones civiles que, en su mayoría cabe resaltar son representadas por mujeres. “Me parece que las mujeres somos una columna vertebral, que da inicio en la familia y se extiende en la sociedad, hasta llegar a lo laboral, por ello, conocemos de esencia la problemática y necesidad de nuestra ciudad, por lo que, unidas contribuimos muy activa y fuertemente en el desarrollo de esta hermosa frontera”, dijo la funcionaria.
Equilibrar responsabilidades laborales y convivencia familiar
La coordinadora declaró que es una mujer creyente, “estoy segura de que Dios siempre me brinda la capacidad y energía de atender ambas cosas; procuro tener a mi hija conmigo, en los tiempos que el ejercicio de mi trabajo me lo permite y así mismo busco actividades en familia para compartir con ella”.
Retos como mujer
Nidia se ha enfrentado a algunos retos, pero el más reciente fue el fallecimiento de su padre, lo cual cambió totalmente su manera de aceptar los sucesos que le pasan en la vida y otro aún más difícil, ha sido enseñarle a su hija cómo debe adaptarse al cambio, hablarle de resiliencia.
Mensaje a las mujeres jóvenes
“La responsabilidad más grande es contigo misma, aprende a conocerte muy bien, ¿qué te gusta? ¿qué te molesta? ¿cómo quieres que se dirijan a ti?, Conoce tus límites, todas los tenemos, ten claro tus objetivos personales, tus metas laborales, busca amar tu soledad, tu espacio, para cuando decidas tener una pareja, la elijas con la mayor certeza de que complementará tu vida, nadie es media naranja, y estar en paz contigo misma, es la decisión más inteligente que puede tener una mujer”, mencionó Nidia.
Recordó la frase de Kiera Cass, “Cenicienta nunca pidió un príncipe. Pidió una noche libre y un vestido”. Por último, parafraseó la cita de G.D. Anderson, “el feminismo no se trata de fortalecer a las mujeres, las mujeres ya somos fuertes, se trata de cambiar la forma en que el mundo percibe esa fuerza”.
Creating bonds for the same goal
Nidia Quezada coordinates Links with CSOs in the Municipal DIF to create ties between civil society and the Municipal Government of Juarez.
Nidia Quezada Domínguez has a degree in Interior Design from the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ) and is the proud mother of Emi Valentina Shiguetomi, 12 years old.
In 2021, Nidia was invited to participate in the municipal government of Ciudad Juarez; she started in the Coordination of Public Relations, and a year and a half later, she was offered the opportunity to collaborate in the municipal DIF in the Coordination of Links with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) of that agency.
Role of the Coordination of Liaisons
One of the most important functions is to attend and link civil associations with the municipal DIF and community.
The Coordination is in charge of collaborating with the civil associations in their training through workshops, courses, conferences, and diverse topics of interest, according to the social work they develop, as well as achieving the linkage with the local business area.
Importance of maintaining solid relations between CSOs and the municipal government of Juárez
Civil Organizations are groups fundamentally constituted by citizens in associative bonds that carry out activities of defense and respect for human rights, as well as support or assistance to third parties, without profit purposes and that do not pursue personal benefits but social and community benefits. Therefore, the Government must work hand in hand with them. The government is the one that, in an organized manner, registers the CSOs and supports them so that through the programs it manages, they can access economic support public incentives, get tax and administrative incentives, and receive donations or contributions in terms of the tax provisions and other applicable ordinances.
They may also benefit from international agreements or treaties to receive advice, training, and collaboration from government agencies and entities to better fulfill their social work.
Challenges as CSO liaison
Nidia commented that the biggest challenge is more communication or information to link both sectors to work together for the community’s benefit. However, based on her experience, “the response has been very gratifying and positive since the people of Juárez have a natural desire to serve and help others.”
Positive impact on the community
The municipal DIF of Juarez, in collaboration with the Church of “Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints” and through the Coordination of Links with CSOs of the DIF, managed to deliver in-kind support to the Kiki Romero shelter for about one million pesos in December 2023.
As an institution, the main objective of the municipal DIF is to provide assistance and protection to the most vulnerable in our society. Migrants represent one of the most needy groups in the world today, as they are often far from their homes and face numerous challenges in their search for a better and safer life.
She pointed out that it is fundamental for this border to have shelters like the Kiki Romero; that provide them with a safe place, food, and humanitarian assistance, in which migrants can find respite during their difficult journey. “It was an honor to attend, manage, and supervise this commission, so important for the municipal government of Juarez,” stated Quezada.
Women represent the majority.
Work is carried out jointly with civil associations, most of which are represented by women. “It seems to me that women are a backbone, which begins in the family and extends in society until reaching the workplace. Therefore, we know the essence of our city’s problems and needs so that together, we contribute very actively and strongly to the development of this beautiful border,” said the official.
Balancing work responsibilities with family life
The coordinator declared that she is a woman of faith: “I am sure that God always gives me the capacity and energy to attend to both things; I try to have my daughter with me when my work allows me to do so, and I also look for family activities to share with her.”
Challenges as a woman
Nidia has faced some challenges, but the most recent was the death of her father, which changed her way of accepting the events that happen in her life, and another even more difficult one has been to teach her daughter how to adapt to change, to talk to her about resilience.
Message to young women
“The greatest responsibility is with yourself; learn to know yourself very well, what you like, what bothers you, how you want to be addressed, know your limits, we all have them, be clear about your objectives, your work goals, seek to love your solitude, your space, so that when you decide to have a partner, choose him with the utmost certainty that he will complement your life, no one is a better half, and being at peace with yourself, is the most intelligent decision a woman can have,” Nidia mentioned.
She recalled Kiera Cass’s quote, “Cinderella never asked for a prince. She asked for a night off and a dress.” Finally, she paraphrased G.D. Anderson’s quote, “Feminism is not about strengthening women—we women are already strong—it is about changing the way the world perceives that strength.”
Empresaria, creadora de contenido e inspiración para otras mujeres, así es nuestra Mujer Visionaria del mes de marzo
“Mi nombre es Diana Borruel, así me encuentran en mis redes sociales. Yo soy originaria de Chihuahua, Chihuahua…”
Así es como empieza la plática de Visionarias con la joven empresaria y creadora de contenido, que ha encontrado en esta frontera el escaparate perfecto para darse a conocer y hacer crecer sus proyectos.
“Ciudad Juárez es una ciudad que me ha recibido con mucho amor, mucho cariño a mí, a mis proyectos, a mi negocio, me he sentido en familia aquí”, nos dice Diana, quien desde hace unos 7 años comenzó a ser referente de la ola de influencers fronterizos con más presencia en redes sociales, especialmente en Instagram, donde cuenta con miles de seguidores de todas partes del mundo.
Esta mujer visionaria nos cuenta que comenzó haciendo publicidad gratuita a establecimientos comerciales de su natal Chihuahua, donde estudió Gestión y Desarrollo de Empresas, sin embargo, su amor por la música y componer la llevó por otro camino, “me encanta la música, me encanta cantar, me gusta todo lo que tiene que ver con crear, me fascina crear, crear, crear”, dice.
Natura Fit
Pero desarrollar su lado creativo no es en lo único que se concentra nuestra entrevistada, pues también invierte su tiempo en Natura Fit, una empresa pensada en el beneficio de otras mujeres y con la cual cumple 2 años.
“Natura Fit es un suplemento alimenticio para todas las mujeres que nos encanta la belleza, que nos gusta sentirnos bien y sobre todo tener un peso saludable, vernos mejor, mejorar nuestro aspecto; sirve para la digestión, para la celulitis, la apariencia de la piel, para la ansiedad… la verdad tiene muchísimos beneficios”, nos informa.
También nos comparte que al inicio no fue tan fácil, pues era ella quien hacía todo el trabajo, desde el servicio al cliente 24/7, hacer paqueterías, recibir producto, hablar con proveedores, etcétera.
Sin embargo, esta situación hoy en día ha cambiado, pues actualmente tiene alrededor de 50 personas trabajando directa e indirectamente con su emprendimiento, el cual tiene compradores en México, Estados Unidos y Canadá, así como más de mil 500 testimonios positivos en sus páginas oficiales, mismos que se han convertido en su publicidad más poderosa.
Su verdadera pasión
Pero, aunque su faceta de empresaria ha resultado un éxito en su vida, Diana Borruel no se olvida de su verdadera pasión, la música, por lo que espera este año poder lanzar su material discográfico, del cual ella ha escrito las canciones, “tengo alma de compositora”, nos dice.
Al cuestionarle sobre cuál es su inspiración, nos dice que es la vida misma, “en cada pedacito que podemos ver en las personas, en mi pareja, en mi mamá, en mi papá, en los atardeceres se puede encontrar a Dios, entonces, ahora sí que la vida que Dios nos regala”.
Agrega que parte de eso que la motiva está “todos los días el poder levantarme y sentirme viva, sentirme agradecida de estar viva, el poder decir ‘tengo que honrar a Dios’… estoy saludable, tengo salud, estoy completa, cómo me voy a poder quedar acostada en mi cama 24 horas al día, claro que no, tienes que salir a la vida, hacer algo”.
Y es precisamente esa inspiración y las ganas de compartir con otras mujeres lo que –a la par del resto de sus proyectos– la ha llevado a escribir un libro, del que aún no tiene el título, pero espera vea la luz pronto, pues ha puesto todo su corazón en él.
Diana nos comenta “Estamos en una faceta de la mujer en la que estamos descubriendo el poder que tenemos dentro de nosotras, si podemos crear vida, qué no podemos crear…
!Es nuestro tiempo!”, ella nos dice que le gusta vivir en conciencia un estado que quiere compartir con otras mujeres, a quienes quiere ayudar a lograr sus sueños y aspiraciones.

Entrepreneur, content creator and inspiration for other women, this is our Visionary Woman of the month of March
“My name is Diana Borruel, that’s how you can find me on my social media. I’m originally from Chihuahua, Chihuahua…”
This is how Visionarias begins her conversation with the young businesswoman and content creator, who has found in this border the perfect showcase to make herself known and grow her projects.
“Ciudad Juárez is a city that has welcomed me with a lot of love, a lot of affection for me, my projects, my business, I have felt like family here,” says Diana, who about 7 years ago began to be a reference for the wave of border influencers with more presence on social networks, especially on Instagram, where she has thousands of followers from all over the world.
This visionary woman tells us that she began by doing free advertising for commercial establishments in her native Chihuahua, where she studied Business Management and Development, however, her love for music and composing took her down another path, “I love music, I love singing, I like everything that has to do with creating, I love creating, creating, creating,” she says.
Natura Fit
But developing her creative side is not the only thing our interviewee focuses on, as she also invests her time in Natura Fit, a company designed for the benefit of other women and with which she has been working for 2 years.
“Natura Fit is a nutritional supplement for all women who love beauty, who like to feel good and above all have a healthy weight, look better, improve our appearance; it is useful for digestion, cellulite, skin appearance, anxiety… the truth is it has many benefits,” she tells us.
She also shares that at the beginning it was not so easy, because she was the one who did all the work, from customer service 24/7, making packages, receiving products, talking to suppliers, etc.
However, this situation has changed today, as he currently has around 50 people working directly and indirectly with his business, which has buyers in Mexico, the United States and Canada, as well as more than 1,500 positive testimonials on his official pages, which have become his most powerful advertising.
Her true passion
But, although her role as an entrepreneur has been a success in her life, Diana Borruel has not forgotten her true passion, music, which is why she hopes to be able to release her album this year, for which she has written the songs, “I have the soul of a composer,” she tells us.
When asked what inspires her, she tells us that it is life itself, “in every little piece that we can see in people, in my partner, in my mother, in my father, in the sunsets, we can find God, so now, it is the life that God gives us.”
She adds that part of what motivates her is “being able to get up every day and feel alive, feeling grateful to be alive, being able to say ‘I have to honor God’… I am healthy, I have health, I am complete, how can I stay in bed 24 hours a day, of course not, you have to go out into life, do something.”
And it is precisely that inspiration and the desire to share with other women that –along with the rest of her projects– has led her to write a book, which she does not yet have a title for, but she hopes will see the light soon, because she has put all her heart into it.
Diana tells us “We are in a phase of women in which we are discovering the power that we have within us, if we can create life, what can we not create…
It is our time!” She tells us that she likes to live in consciousness, a state that she wants to share with other women, whom she wants to help achieve their dreams and aspirations.
Los Gómez han sabido sortear los retos del matrimonio gracias al amor que los une y a su confianza en la Palabra de Dios, incluso su eslogan es ‘Todo lo puedo en Cristo’
Ni la distancia impidió que esta pareja comenzara su relación hace más de 15 años, cuando ambos trabajaban para una compañía, pero en diferentes ciudades, él en Chihuahua y ella en Ciudad Juárez.
En esta ocasión, Visionarias comparte la relación de Claudia y René Gómez, dos personas que se encontraron sin buscarlo y que hasta la fecha han sabido llevar un matrimonio basado en la confianza, el compañerismo, pero sobre todo en el amor.
Es Claudia quien nos cuenta su historia y algunos de los retos que como matrimonio han enfrentado, siendo el más significativo el apoyar y confiar en su esposo, cuando él creó su propia empresa transportista con el nombre CR Trucking, que René dirige y los ha posicionado a nivel nacional.
“Fue algo nuevo, salieron muchas cosas nuevas que no teníamos contempladas y realmente ahí fue cuando vimos la mano de Dios de manera palpable para que saliera adelante la empresa”, nos plática ella, quien ejerce su profesión dando terapia psicológica a parejas y terapia individual.
Diferentes puntos de vista
Pero más allá de perturbar la tranquilidad de su matrimonio, el tener puntos de vista diferentes los ha ayudado a consolidar su relación, pues, aunque no piensen igual, deben tomar decisiones en pro del bienestar no sólo de la empresa, sino también de la familia.
Claudia nos comenta que a la hora de los desacuerdos tienen como convicción la oración, aunado a esto una plática constructiva en donde expresan sus diferentes puntos de vista, de ahí, toman acuerdos. Siendo como principal el amor, “el amor es lo principal que nos une a él y a mí, tenemos la respuesta clara para resolver cualquier situación recordando el propósito del porqué unimos nuestras vidas”.
“Lo más importante para el matrimonio es aprender a comunicarnos y hacer acuerdos”, reafirma.
Uno de sus principales propósitos es la enseñanza a sus hijos y a su nieta de hacer las cosas para la honra de Dios.
Ervey, Andrés, Aryeh y Karen, sus hijos, Norali su nieta, son a quienes principalmente desean transmitir sus convicciones y conocimiento para vivir plenamente.
Ahora, después de 15 años de matrimonio, un negocio exitoso y una familia con retos, desafíos y satisfacciones, ambos están de acuerdo en que el ejemplo es la mejor manera de contagiar y enseñar a otros.
Por último, Claudia nos asegura que no cambiaría nada de su matrimonio, pues “cada día es una experiencia y cada día es un reto, es acordarnos de que el amor es lo más importante; si nos enfocamos en el rol que cada uno tiene seguimos adelante y toda respuesta que tengamos para cualquier cosa que consultemos va a ser la respuesta más sabía”.
Agrega que “para el matrimonio se requieren tres para que pueda estar completo, dos son la pareja y la otra es Dios… que la unión siempre sea con Dios y van a tener un matrimonio maravilloso”.
Claudia and Rene
The Gomez family has been able to overcome the challenges of marriage thanks to the love that unites them and their trust in the Word of God. Even their slogan is ‘I can do all things through Christ.’
Not even distance prevented this couple from starting their relationship more than 15 years ago, when they both worked for a company, but in different cities, he in Chihuahua and she in Ciudad Juarez.
On this occasion, Visionarias shares the relationship between Claudia and Rene Gomez, two people who met without looking for it and who to date have managed to maintain a marriage based on trust, companionship, but above all on love.
It is Claudia who tells us her story and some of the challenges they have faced as a couple, the most significant being supporting and trusting her husband, when he created his own transportation company called CR Trucking, which René directs and has positioned them nationally.
“It was something new, many new things came up that we hadn’t considered and that was when we really saw the hand of God in a palpable way for the company to move forward,” she tells us, who practices her profession providing psychological therapy to couples and individual therapy.
Different points of view
But beyond disturbing the tranquility of their marriage, having different points of view has helped them to consolidate their relationship, because, even if they do not think the same, they must make decisions for the well-being not only of the company, but also of the family.
Claudia tells us that when it comes to disagreements, they have prayer as their conviction, coupled with a constructive conversation where they express their different points of view, from there, they make agreements. Love being the main thing, “love is the main thing that unites him and me, we have the clear answer to resolve any situation remembering the purpose of why we joined our lives.”
“The most important thing for marriage is to learn to communicate and make agreements,” she reaffirms.
One of her main purposes is to teach her children and her granddaughter to do things for the honor of God.
Ervey, Andres, Aryeh and Karen, her children, Norali her granddaughter, are those to whom she mainly wants to transmit her convictions and knowledge to live fully. Now, after 15 years of marriage, a successful business and a family with challenges and satisfactions, both agree that example is the best way to spread and teach others.
Finally, Claudia assures us that she would not change anything about her marriage, because “every day is an experience and every day is a challenge, it is remembering that love is the most important thing; if we focus on the role that each one has, we move forward and every answer we have for anything we ask will be the wisest answer.”
She adds that “for marriage to be complete, three are required, two are the couple and the other is God… may the union always be with God and you will have a wonderful marriage.”
Experta interiorista dedicada a diseñar espacios ‘armoniosos’
Una mujer con una visión en todos los aspectos, con planes muy claros y empresaria, es como Mónica Rocha describe a una visionaria, una descripción que va completamente con ella, una mujer de éxito que está decidida a diseñar cada espacio en los hogares y las oficinas de la frontera.
Con una trayectoria en el interiorismo de 20 años, Mónica lleva 11 siendo el alma detrás de Mödul Studio, una franquicia con 35 tiendas a nivel nacional, de las cuales ella tiene a su cargo dos, una en Ciudad Juárez y la otra en Chihuahua, la primera es la número uno en crecimiento y ventas.
Enfocados cien por ciento al equipamiento modular, Mödul es una fábrica donde se diseñan muebles y planos con un software de procedencia española que se adapta a espacios y presupuestos establecidos por los clientes.
Lo anterior los ha convertido en los favoritos de quienes tienen un proyecto de diseño o remodelación tanto del hogar como de una oficina.
Sin embargo, nuestra entrevistada nos cuenta que no ha sido del todo fácil, pues han tenido que romper con las normas establecidas del interiorismo, sobre todo por ser frontera donde el estilo está mercado por una ola americanizada.
Pero a la hora de realizar el trabajo nada está dicho y Mónica, junto a su esposo Miguel Sarmiento, crean todo tipo de muebles modulares, desde cocinas, closets, cómodas y todo aquello que al final del proceso permita al cliente convivir en un ambiente “muy armonioso”.
Sin embargo, a esta mujer, nacida en San Juan del Río, pueblo mágico de Durango, lo que más le gusta trabajar son las cocinas, pues dice que es el área donde se concentran las emociones ya que es ahí a donde todos llegan, aunque asegura que le apasiona cada espacio que crea.
Su otra pasión
Pero no todo es trabajo para Mónica Rocha, hay otra cosa que también le gusta ayudar a diseñar, y eso es la vida de mujeres en situaciones complicadas y que ven en ella una guía para encontrar su camino y salir adelante.
“Me encanta ayudar a mujeres cuando están confundidas, me apasiona”, nos dice quien también se encomienda a Dios para poder cumplir con esta y cada una de las metas que se propone, pues como menciona, él significa todo “sin él no sería nada, todo se lo debo a él”.
Es precisamente a Dios a quien le entrega sus negocios, actividades y obviamente su familia, cuyo legado espera siga su hija Andrea, quien apenas empieza su camino profesional, mientras, esta mujer visionaria continúa trabajando para que Mödul Studio permanezca como el número uno de su gremio.

Expert interior designer dedicated to designing ‘harmonious’ spaces.
A woman with a vision in all aspects, with very clear plans and a businesswoman, is how Monica Rocha describes a visionary, a description that fits her perfectly, a successful woman who is determined to design every space in the homes and offices of the border.
With a 20-year career in interior design, Monica has been the soul behind Mödul Studio for 11 years, a franchise with 35 stores nationwide, of which she is in charge of two, one in Ciudad Juárez and the other in Chihuahua, the first being number one in growth and sales.
Focused one hundred percent on modular equipment, Mödul is a factory where furniture and plans are designed with software of Spanish origin that adapts to spaces and budgets established by clients.
This has made them the favorites of those who have a design or remodeling project for both their home and an office.
However, our interviewee tells us that it has not been easy at all, as they have had to break with the established rules of interior design, especially because it is a frontier where the style is being marketed by an Americanized wave.
