A 10 años de comenzar con el ministerio de Mujeres Visionarias, Luz María Sotelo comparte qué tan satisfactorio ha sido el camino
Tras la desaparición de su hermano, Luz María Sotelo buscó las respuestas que dieran paz a su familia y a su corazón, sin imaginar que también encontraría la misión que Dios había preparado para ella.
La historia de la líder de Mujeres Visionarias dentro del cristianismo se remonta al año 2007, cuando gracias a una amiga escuchó el llamado del Señor y sintió su amor a través de su palabra y sus alabanzas.
Luego de asistir a la iglesia asegura que comenzó a recibir “esa paz que sobrepasa el entendimiento del ser humano” y casi de inmediato se comenzó a ordenar su vida, lo cual ahora pretende hacer con las mujeres que se acercan a ella.
“Antes de conocer a Dios yo ya lo hacía (ayudar a la gente), ahora que lo conozco lo hago con más conocimiento, más felicidad y con más retribuciones que él me da a través de mi vida”.
Nace el ministerio
La esposa de Manuel Sotelo y madre de Karen y Kiara asegura que desde que aceptó a Cristo, comprendió que su misión era transmitir a sus semejantes el conocimiento con un sentido humano del espíritu de Dios, por lo que en 2012 comenzó a dar conferencias a otras mujeres, sobre todo a las que trabajan en la empresa de su marido, y luego al resto de la ciudadanía.
Siete años después, en 2019, fundaría la revista Visionarias, que vendría de la mano con su madurez espiritual.
“La revista nació como algo que Dios puso en mi corazón; siempre me ha gustado la lectura porque siento que a través de ella te transportas a lugares, a hechos que te pueden hacer crecer y Dios puso eso en mi corazón, tener una revista, tener un centro de ayuda para la mujer, lo que ha sido muy gratificante”.
Época de cambio
La mujer que combina su rol de “visionaria” con el de madre, esposa y ama de casa, presume de que el ministerio que lidera actualmente se encuentra en crecimiento.
“El año pasado nos concentramos en sacar adelante el centro de ayuda, es decir, ayudamos a la ciudadanía a través de centros comunitarios, a través de las iglesias y nos establecimos con una oficina”.
Las instalaciones de Mujeres Visionarias se encuentran en la calle Lexus número 2220, del fraccionamiento Marquis; aquí las mujeres encuentran terapias psicológicas, consejería y apoyo legal, además de consultas médicas gratuitas, sobre todo aquellas en etapa de embarazo, en quienes se han enfocado en los últimos meses.
Para todas también ofrecen pláticas y talleres que les ayudarán en su crecimiento personal y profesional.
En cuanto a la revista −de publicación mensual− comparte que en este 2022, tanto ella como su equipo, en el que laboran alrededor de 10 personas, están trabajando arduamente en el proceso de cambio y crecimiento que adhiera a nuevos lectores a su visión.
Para ello se añadió una nueva sección, llamada “Conectando con el Mundo”, dirigida a todo aquel que no sea cristiano para que también se sienta identificado con el contenido de cada edición; por medio de esta sección se conoce a gente que impacta a la comunidad.
“Estamos en un reto de crecimiento donde queremos darnos a conocer más y ser más cercanos”, nos confía Luz María.
Primero el Señor
Pero la señora Sotelo está consciente de que nada de esto sería posible sin la ayuda de Jesucristo, de quien se ha convertido en intermediaria con las mujeres fronterizas.
“Mi objetivo y mi visión, todo, siempre es llevar el nombre de Dios a todo el ser humano que pueda leer, que alcance la leer la revista; llevarles un poco de los atributos de él, paz, amor, paciencia, dignidad. Sin Dios no sería posible, realmente soy una trabajadora que está muy contenta de trabajar para él, soy una servidora”, comenta emocionada.
Agrega que los próximos planes son (como siempre) mejorar, crecer y establecerse.
Su mensaje
A través de la revista Luz María Sotelo quiere hacer saber a las mujeres que “somos valiosas, no por lo que tenemos ni por lo que somos, simplemente porque él nos creó con un propósito divino y en base a esa creación nos dio dones y talentos para salir adelante en cualquier situación”.
Asegura que todas estamos preparadas si nos acercamos a Dios y nutrimos nuestro espíritu, pues es lo que nos permitirá lograr todas las metas que nos propongamos.
“Dios me ha dado todas las armas en su palabra para ir venciendo todas las vicisitudes y dificultades que conllevan en la vida de todo ser humano, pero primero hay que entregarnos al Señor”, afirma.
A servant of God
Ten years into the ministry of Mujeres Visionarias, Luz Maria Sotelo shares how fulfilling the journey has been.
After her brother’s disappearance, Luz María Sotelo searched for the answers that would give peace to her family and her heart, without imagining that she would also find the mission that God had prepared for her.
The history of Mujeres Visionarias’ leader within Christianity dates back to 2007 when she heard the call of the Lord and felt his love through his word and his praises.
After attending the church, she began to receive “the peace that surpasses the human being understanding” and almost immediately began to order her life, which she now intends to do with the women who come to her.
“Before knowing God, I was already doing it (helping people); now that I know him, I do it with more knowledge, more happiness and with more retribution that he gives me through my life.”
The ministry is born.
Manuel Sotelo’s wife and mother of Karen and Kiara assure that since she accepted Christ, she understood that her mission was to transmit knowledge with a human sense of God’s spirit to her fellow women. Hence, in 2012 she began to give lectures to other women, especially those who work in her husband’s company, and then to the rest of the population.
Seven years later, in 2019, she would found Visionarias magazine, which would come hand in hand with her spiritual maturity.
“The magazine was born as something that God put in my heart; I have always liked reading because I feel that through it you are transported to places, to facts that can make you grow, and God put that in my heart, to have a magazine, to have a help center for women, which has been very rewarding.”
A time of change
The woman who combines her role as “visionary” with that of mother, wife and housewife boasts that the ministry she currently leads is growing.
“Last year, we concentrated on getting the help center off the ground; that is, we helped the people through community centers, through churches, and we set up with an office.”
The Mujeres Visionarias facilities are located at 2220 Lexus Street, in the Marquis subdivision. Here, women can find psychological therapies, counseling and legal support, as well as free medical consultations, especially those in the pregnancy stage, who have been the focus of the last few months.
They also offer talks and workshops to help them in their personal and professional growth.
As for the monthly magazine, she shares that in 2022, she and her team, around ten people, will work hard on change and growth to attract new readers to their vision.
To this end, a new section was added, called “Connecting with the World,” aimed at anyone who is not a Christian so that they can also feel identified with the content of each edition; through this section, they meet people who impact the community.
“We are in a growth challenge where we want to make ourselves better known and be closer,” Luz María confided.
First the Lord
But Mrs. Sotelo is aware that none of this would be possible without the help of Jesus Christ, whose intermediary she has become with the border women.
“My objective and my vision, everything, is always to take the name of God to every human being who can read, who can read the magazine; to bring them a little of his attributes, peace, love, patience, dignity. Without God, it would not be possible; I am a worker who is very happy to work for him, I am a servant,” she says excitedly.
She adds that her following plans are (as always) to improve, grow and establish herself.
Her message
Through the magazine, Luz Maria Sotelo wants to let women know that “we are valuable, not because of what we have or what we are, simply because he created us with a divine purpose and based on that creation he gave us gifts and talents to get ahead in any situation.”
She assures that we are all prepared if we approach God and nurture our spirit because that will allow us to achieve all the goals we set for ourselves.
“God has given me all the weapons in his word to overcome all the vicissitudes and difficulties that come with the life of every human being, but first we must give ourselves to the Lord,” she says.
“I ask the Lord to be an example for my daughters.”
