Cuando las relaciones personales se deterioran hasta quedar destruidas, producen un profundo sentimiento de dolor. La discordia, la envidia y las riñas son causas por las que familias quedan destruidas, matrimonios quebrados, relaciones de trabajo acabadas, amistades disueltas y divisiones en las iglesias, mismas circunstancias que pueden ser producto de una guerra mundial.
¿Para usted es prioridad mantener la unidad?
En Efesios 4:3-6 el apóstol Pablo hace una fuerte exhortación a los creyentes en Cristo a que busquemos de una manera apresurada mantener una preocupación, un celo diligente y constante en estar unidos “en el Espíritu”. Sin embargo, no se refiere a estar unidos por una congregación, denominación o iglesia, sino a la unidad con la que vincula el mismo Espíritu Santo a los creyentes.
Hoy es oportuno comprender qué normas o decretos humanos no producen paz y unidad verdadera, ya que el mundo enfatiza sentimientos, placeres y derechos basados en el egoísmo, que jamás producirán paz y unidad, sino discordias, celos, guerras y divisiones (Santiago 4:1-3). Cuando permitimos que el Espíritu Santo gobierne nuestras vidas y guíe nuestros pensamientos, damos frutos de paz. Cuando decidamos con firmeza obedecer la Palabra de Dios por encima de nuestros propios pensamientos y emociones, entonces seremos promotores de la unidad.
Te invito, a que cada día juntas decidamos hacer de la unidad nuestra marca distintiva en medio de cualquier relación interpersonal, y así demostrar la transformación que hemos recibido gracias a la imagen de Cristo.
Persevering in Unity
When personal relationships deteriorate until they are destroyed, they produce a deep feeling of pain. Discord, envy, and quarrels are causes of destroyed families, broken marriages, broken work relationships, dissolved friendships, and divisions in churches, the same circumstances that can be the product of a world war.
Maintaining unity is a priority for you?
In Ephesians 4: 3-6 the apostle Paul makes a strong exhortation to believers in Christ to seek in a hurry to maintain a concern, a diligent and constant zeal in being united “in the Spirit”. However, it doesn’t refer to being united by a congregation, denomination or church, but to the unity with which the same Holy Spirit links believers.
Today it’s opportune to understand what human norms or decrees don’t produce peace and true unity, since the world emphasizes feelings, pleasures and rights based on selfishness, which will never produce peace and unity, but rather discord, jealousy, wars and divisions (James 4: 1-3). When we allow the Holy Spirit to rule our lives and guide our thoughts, we bear the fruits of peace. When we firmly decide to obey God’s Word over and above our own thoughts and emotions, then we will be promoters of unity.
I invite you, that each day together decide to make unity our distinctive mark in the midst of any interpersonal relationship, and thus demonstrate the transformation we have received thanks to the image of Christ.
