Miel San Marcos es una de las bandas cristianas más trascendentes de la música latina contemporánea. Fue fundada en la ciudad de San Marcos, Guatemala, en el año 2000, por tres hermanos: Josh, Luis y Samy Morales.
“Somos una familia y un equipo de adoradores que Dios escogió para este tiempo, con el propósito de dar a conocer su nombre en todo lugar.
Sus comienzos
Los hermanos Morales relataron que crecieron en un hogar donde el centro siempre ha sido Jesús, sus padres fomentaron en ellos la unidad, la armonía, el respeto y la honra, mismos valores que buscan transmitir a sus hijos y a las nuevas generaciones.
A lo largo de los años han servido al Señor, a la Iglesia y los principios aprendidos en casa, que han sido hasta el día de hoy, los pilares fundamentales para poder llevar a cabo el propósito y visión que Dios les ha encomendado.
“Hemos aprendido a cuidar la relación entre nosotros, pero estamos convencidos que primero debemos buscar la comunión con el Señor y su presencia en nuestras vidas y en casa, y por consiguiente, se reflejará en nuestro alrededor y en todo lo que hacemos”.
En la actualidad Miel San Marcos está conformado por varias familias dedicadas al servicio de la obra del Señor, tal y como iniciaron los hermanos Morales en el año 2000, cuando Dios marcó un antes y después en sus vidas.
El legado para futuras generaciones
“El es que nuestros hijos y generaciones conozcan al Señor de manera personal y que su relación con él crezca cada día”, comentan.
“Queremos que en nuestra familia se cumpla el Salmo 145, que nos enseña como debe ser la adoración generacional y Hechos 13:47, como nuestro llamado y propósito de vida”, agregan.
Miel San Marcos dio a conocer a Visionarias que actualmente, están trabajando en los preparativos de su nuevo álbum, mismo que grabarán el 28 de junio, en Houston, Texas, y que llevará por nombre “Dios de Generaciones”. Esta producción estará liderada por sus hijos.
“Cada canción que vendrá en el álbum es la esencia de lo que Dios, nos ha llamado a hacer como familia, nos emociona ver lo que él hará con y a través de este álbum”, dicen sus integrantes.
Su trayectoria
Durante 2014, Miel San Marcos hizo historia siendo una de las pocas agrupaciones en reunir a más de 17 mil personas en la Arena Ciudad de México, para la grabación “Como en el Cielo”. Sus producciones “Pentecostés”, “Como en El Cielo” y “Tu Habitación” debutaron en el número uno de iTunes Latino, asimismo en el top 10 de Billboard Latin Music.
También esta agrupación ha sido reconocida con múltiples galardones, incluyendo el Dove Award de Estados Unidos, el premio Arpa de México, premio Arca de Venezuela, el Vision Music Award en Guatemala y una nominación al Latin Grammy.
La banda ha recorrido más de 20 países en América, Caribe y Europa, alcanzando una nueva generación que busca una profunda intimidad con Dios.

Miel San Marcos is one of contemporary Latin music’s most transcendent Christian bands. It was founded in San Marcos, Guatemala, in 2000 by three brothers: Josh, Luis, and Samy Morales.
“We are a family and a team of worshipers that God chose for this time to make his name known everywhere.
Their beginnings
The Morales brothers recounted that they grew up in a home where the center has always been Jesus. Their parents fostered in them unity, harmony, respect, and honor, the same values they seek to pass on to their children and new generations.
Throughout the years, they have served the Lord, the Church, and the principles learned at home, which have been, until today, the fundamental pillars of their ability to carry out the purpose and vision that God has entrusted to them.
“We have learned to take care of the relationship between us, but we are convinced that we must first seek communion with the Lord and His presence in our lives and at home, and consequently, it will be reflected in our surroundings and everything we do.”
Today, Miel San Marcos is made up of several families dedicated to serving the Lord’s work, just as the Morales brothers began in the year 2000 when God marked a before-and-after in their lives.
The legacy for future generations
“The is that our children and generations know the Lord personally and that their relationship with Him grows daily,” they comment.
“We want our family to fulfill Psalm 145, which teaches us what generational worship should be like, and Acts 13:47, as our calling and life purpose,” they add.
Miel San Marcos told Visionarias that they are currently working on the preparations for their new album, which will be recorded on June 28th in Houston, Texas, and will be called “Dios de Generaciones” (God of Generations). Their children will lead this production.
“Each song on the album is the essence of what God has called us to do as a family, and we are excited to see what he will do with and through this album,” said its members.
Their trajectory
In 2014, Miel San Marcos made history by being one of the few groups to gather more than 17 thousand people in the Arena Mexico City for the recording “Como en el Cielo.” Their productions “Pentecostés,” “Como en El Cielo,” and “Tu Habitación” debuted at number one on iTunes Latino and in the top 10 of Billboard Latin Music.
The band has also been recognized with multiple awards, including the Dove Award in the United States, the Arpa Award in Mexico, the Arca Award in Venezuela, the Vision Music Award in Guatemala, and a Latin Grammy nomination.
