Mantener una mente positiva

Publicado

Keeping a positive mind

In the morning while I was drinking my coffee and watching the news, a fear invaded me as I saw the political chaos, the pandemic figures and the violence in the city; there was no way to escape from the overwhelming wave of tragedy prevails today.

Faced with this situation, it is a challenge to stay positive, but the word of God gives us the key to achieve it, I am going to tell you how.

Colossians 3:2 tells us to “think about the things of heaven, not the things of the earth”, that is, a negative thought will generate a negative emotion, and on the contrary a positive thought will result in a positive emotion.

Did you know that we can choose our thoughts?

I don’t have to think whatever falls into my mind, it is part of the capacity that God has given to man. The moment you experience sadness, anger, fear, worry or other negative feelings, examine your thoughts, change them and turn them toward Christ. Spend some time analyzing scriptures that renew your mind with the truth of what God says about his plan and love for you.

How he wants you to live and behave.

If you commit to focusing your attention on God’s word, renewing your mind with the truth and getting the bad thoughts out of your way, then you will experience the fullness of having a positive mind.

That morning, I took my Bible and meditated on Psalm 103, David was speaking to his soul, telling him that he should bless the Lord for his forgiveness and for all the benefits we receive from him, so what may have started as a bad day, full of anguish and fear, I decided to turn it through his word into a great day, full of blessing.

I invite you to do the same today!

2 Corintios 5:18

God can restore a home

He promises to help heal relationships through reconciliation and forgiveness

“The God of heaven will give us success. We, your servants, are going to begin the reconstruction…”

Nehemiah 2:20

“Then Ezra prayed, ‘Blessed be the Lord, the God of our fathers, for he moved the king to honor the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem.’”

Ezra 7:27

In the Bible, we see two accounts of how God powerfully restores what has been torn down. In this case, his temple and its walls in Jerusalem symbolized the importance of the meeting place for his people to worship him.

And if he did this with material things, what wouldn’t he do with lives, marriages, and families?

There are many real historical stories in the Bible, with examples and analogies of God’s power so that everyone who believes in him can participate in his beautiful miracles.

God created marriage, Genesis, and the family; He knows that people go through situations that bring pain and difficulty and that the world is in conflict, but he promises to help heal relationships through reconciliation and forgiveness.

But you must know that there is a common enemy that hates God and everything created by him; however, the power of the Lord is far superior to this destroyer.

Read both historical books to realize their greatness and lift what has fallen so faith grows and matures. God has the power and goodwill to bring restoration in the personal, marital, and family life, which is why he has entrusted all of his children with a spiritual task, the ministry of reconciling, which consists of turning to him and to our neighbor, because This work is part of the restoration of life and family.

Here is the challenge of faith and obedience to him: to restore, you must forgive.

“All this is the work of God, who reconciled us to himself and gave us the task of announcing reconciliation through Christ.”

2 Corinthians 5:18

Taking care of me is a gesture of love

Being able to love ourselves is also a solid foundation of self-esteem and confidence.

How much love are you giving yourself?

Every day, we share love with our family or friends. However, we often do it without loving ourselves, a life process.

Like any relationship, the one with ourselves has ups, downs, and intersections that require daily care.

It changes as circumstances change, and the people around us do too. Nothing will be more satisfying than learning to love ourselves since self-love is the foundation of an entire life.

Giving love to everyone around us is also a solid foundation of self-esteem and confidence. When we value ourselves, we become our best allies because we recognize and meet our needs, understanding that they are essential for our well-being.

Some signs of a lack of self-love are insecurity, fear, shame, and constant guilt.

On the other hand, a person with self-love has more excellent emotional stability, connects better emotionally, and gives their best without listening to that little inner voice that fears and threatens. There is an intrinsic motivation in us that we just have to activate.

I encourage you to work daily on affirming your self-love to flow from grace because it will make a difference from now on in your life.

Start of the year with renewal

Thanks to the Holy Spirit, There is an opportunity to start 2024 with victory.

If you are a woman who, like many of us, ended 2023 with a feeling of not giving 100 percent, I want to tell you that you are not alone.

Many of us make resolutions at the beginning of each year regarding one or more areas of our lives that we want to improve and even change.

In the spiritual area, we begin with a firm purpose to read our Bible daily, have a devotional time, or increase our time of prayer and meditation on the Word of God, only to find in the first weeks that the hustle and bustle of daily living have We won the battle and then we feel guilty and defeated.

But today, beyond any guilt or condemnation you may feel, there is an opportunity to start 2024 in victory and the year in renewal.

First of all, I want you to know that no change can happen in your spiritual life by your strength, so stop wearing yourself down in a fight that can only be won through the Holy Spirit, who dwells in every believer and who is the one who It produces in us the desire to do for His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).

The word renewal comes from the Latin renewale, meaning to be new again. It’s not beautifully wonderful.

So we can go daily and present ourselves before God and find that we can be renewed, that is, made new, no matter if the day before we were a failure. We are sure that before God, we find the grace and timely help we need to continue living a life of victory.

Remember, we can start the year 2024 in renewal; we just need to recognize that doing it ourselves is impossible.

Turn to him, who is the only one who can renew your thoughts through the knowledge of His Word, allowing you to live each day in victory through him who died on the cross and rose again on the third day, Jesus Christ.
