La trascendencia del padre de familia y su insustituible presencia en la vida de sus hijos, está presente y registrada en la historia humana. Los hijos aprenden a conocer a Dios a través de la relación con su padre terrenal, de éste depende la aceptación o el rechazo a entablar un vínculo personal con el Creador.
Para eso se requiere ser o hacerse un hombre valiente para aceptar los cambios que habrá en la vida a partir de que concibe un hijo, así como la cuota de sacrificio personal que ello implica. Posteriormente requerirá ser trabajador, responsable, fuerte y gentil, lo que lo convierte en una verdadera bendición para su casa y para la sociedad.
Los retos no terminan cuando ya se está ejerciendo el rol de padre, pues se les exige dominio propio, visión empresarial, ejemplos congruentes, liderazgo, provisión y protección.
La importancia del papel del padre se eleva a niveles del alma y del espíritu cuando honran y respetan a la mujer frente a los ojos de sus hijos. Esto constituye un aprendizaje que se adhiere a sus corazones pues ellos aman a su madre y no toleran que sea lastimada. Para sus hijas, el padre es la figura que les muestra cómo deben ser tratadas por otros hombres.
La autoridad delegada en el padre terrenal por el padre celestial los convierte en representantes de los valores y principios que habrán de transmitirse de generación en generación.
Por lo anterior, no es de extrañar que la ausencia de un padre conforme a Dios es una tragedia para la familia y una carencia sustancial en la vida de los hijos.

The authority delegated to the earthly father by the heavenly father makes them representatives of the values and principles to be transmitted from generation to generation.
Therefore, it is not surprising that the absence of a father according to God is a tragedy for the family and a substantial lack in the life of the children.
