Se codeará con reyes, y nunca será un “don nadie”. Esas fueron las palabras que Benjamin Franklin escuchó de su padre una y otra vez cuando era niño.
El joven Benjamin Franklin decidió utilizar cada momento de su vida, y al final recordaba y comentaba: “He sido presentado a cinco reyes y he comido con dos”.
Las personas que son sobresalientes están siempre preocupadas por la cantidad y la calidad de su productividad y efectividad. Se vuelven valiosos para cualquier organización o compañía, porque son productivos.

¿Por qué alguien que trabaja duro se convierte en ‘indispensable’?
La mente del buen trabajador se concentra en terminar las tareas. Cuando trabaja, nota que otras cosas se necesitan y también las hace. Como está orientado a ser productivo, se vuelve creativo. Busca métodos y maneras de hacerlo mejor y más rápido. Esto le da un lugar para ser considerado para mayores responsabilidades, y no mucho tiempo después estará agregando valor en todo lo que hace.
Existen tres actitudes principales que nos harán indispensables:
- Trabaja con excelencia: Aprovecha las oportunidades que se te presenten para hacer bien las cosas y busca siempre obtener un buen resultado. Evita posponer las labores o trabajar por oleadas de entusiasmo; en todo momento concéntrate en hacer lo que debes hacer.
- Trabaja honestamente: Al hacer las cosas para los demás, hazlas como si fueran para ti. Siempre hay que cuidar cómo se obtiene el dinero. Un proverbio antiguo afirma que “El dinero mal habido trae dolor a toda la familia”.
- Trabaja con orden: El trabajo duro debe equilibrarse con otras prioridades de nuestra vida. Si nuestro trabajo nos requiere demasiado tiempo y energía, al punto tal que estamos descuidando nuestra relación con los demás o descuidando a nuestra familia, significa que estamos trabajando sin organización, ni planeación.
Hay una ley en la vida. Todo lo que no funciona, o se arregla, o se desecha. Esta ley se aplica también a las personas. Si no trabajamos duro, o no queremos trabajar, seremos descartados y rechazados. Debemos crear valor para ser apreciados.
Tenemos una gran oportunidad en el mundo de hoy. Sé un buen trabajador; afuera se desempeñan otros; haz lo que otros no harán, y no solamente te convertirás en sobresaliente, sino en una rara especie que tiene mucha demanda. Si quieres un buen futuro, sé un buen trabajador.

Look for methods and ways to do it better and faster

Have you ever seen someone diligent in their work? He will rub shoulders with kings and never be a “nobody.” Those were the words Benjamin Franklin heard from his father repeatedly as a child.
Young Benjamin Franklin decided to use every moment of his life, and at the end, he remembered and remarked, “I have been introduced to five kings and have eaten with two.”
Outstanding people are always concerned with the quantity and quality of their productivity and effectiveness. They become valuable to any organization or company because they are productive.
“Work hard, and you will be a leader: be lazy, and never succeed”

Why does someone who works hard become “indispensable”?
The excellent worker’s mind is focused on finishing tasks. He notices that other things are needed when he works and does those as well. Because he is geared to be productive, he becomes creative. He looks for methods and ways to do it better and faster. This gives him a place to be considered for more significant responsibilities, and only a short time later, he will be adding value to everything he does.
Three central attitudes will make us indispensable:
Work with excellence: take advantage of the opportunities that come your way to do things well and consistently seek to get a good result. Avoid postponing work or working in waves of enthusiasm; concentrate on doing what you must do all the time.
Work honestly:
When doing things for others, do them as if they were for you. Always be careful how you get your money. An old proverb states, “Ill-gotten money brings sorrow to the whole family.”
Work in order:
Hard work must be balanced with other priorities in life. If our work requires too much of our time and energy to the point that we need to pay attention to our relationships with others or our family, we work without organization and planning.
There is a law in life. Everything that does not work is either fixed or discarded. This law also applies to people. If we work hard or want to work, we will be accepted. We must create value to be appreciated.
We have great opportunities in today’s world. Be a good worker, outperform others, and do what others will not do, and you will not only become outstanding but also a rare species that is in high demand. If you want a promising future, be a good worker.
