Cuándo vino un bebé a cambiar nuestras mentes y corazones, y a darnos esperanza de un mundo mejor
El nacimiento de Cristo fue, es y será el inicio del acontecimiento más maravilloso de y a favor de la humanidad. Trastornó y transformó la inercia de un mundo lleno de preguntas no contestadas, de esperanzas muertas y de esfuerzos humanos que sin éxito llenaban toda la tierra.
El nacimiento de Jesús no sólo es el evento que dividió la historia en dos, sino que provocó una reversa a las ideas y costumbres culturales tales como la dignidad de la mujer, el amor a los que no nos aman, la fuerza de las intenciones antes de convertirse en actos, el amor a los niños y la protección que ellos deben tener.
Los derechos que se pelean hoy en día fueron establecidos primero, es decir, antes que nadie por Jesús desde su nacimiento hasta su resurrección.
El nacimiento de Jesús ¿fue en diciembre? ¿los sabios que llegaron de Oriente eran sólo tres? ¿nuestros nacimientos en miniatura describen exactamente la escena de su nacimiento? ¿nuestros árboles y adornos navideños tienen que ver algo con ello?
Es totalmente trivial; lo importante es que ese pequeño bebé vino a cambiar todo, a cambiar nuestras mentes y corazones, a darnos la esperanza y seguridad que nada en este mundo puede otorgar.
Hoy en día la mayoría de la humanidad celebra la Navidad, algunos con convicciones de fe para agradecer el regalo más maravilloso de todos los siglos; otros quizá celebran por la hermosa oportunidad de unirse con sus seres queridos o, simplemente para aprovechar un momento de descanso o vacaciones, pero la realidad es que este evento ha trastocado a toda la humanidad, así que lo mejor sería que cada uno de nosotros pudiéramos entender la profundidad y el alcance de celebrar “el nacimiento de Jesús”.
Así que sólo me queda decir “muy, muy feliz Navidad”.
The birth of Christ
When a baby came to change our minds and hearts and gave us hope for a better world.
The birth of Christ was, is and will be the beginning of the most beautiful event of and for humanity. It disrupted and transformed the inertia of a world full of unanswered questions, dead hopes and unsuccessful human efforts that filled the whole earth.
The birth of Jesus is not only the event that split history in two, but it caused a reversal of cultural ideas and customs such as the dignity of women, the love of those who do not love us, the strength of intentions before they become acts, the love of children and the protection they should have.
The rights that are fought for today were established, before anyone else, by Jesus from his birth to his resurrection.
Was Jesus’ birth in December? Were the wise men who came from the East only three? do our miniature nativity scenes accurately depict the set of his birth? do our Christmas trees and decorations have anything to do with it?
It’s trivial; the important thing is that that baby came to change everything, change our minds and hearts, and give us the hope and security that nothing can provide.
Today most of humanity celebrates Christmas, some with convictions of faith to thank the most wonderful gift of all centuries; others perhaps celebrate for the beautiful opportunity to unite with their loved ones or simply to take advantage of a moment of rest or vacation, but the reality is that this event has changed all of humanity, so it would be best if each one of us could understand the depth and scope of celebrating “the birth of Jesus.”
So it only remains for me to say “very, very Merry Christmas.”
