La familia es una creación de Dios. En su palabra encontramos desde sus orígenes, sus instrucciones y mandamientos, hasta sus varios ejemplos buenos o malos a los largo de las escrituras.
En Génesis del 2 al 5 vemos la institución del matrimonio y los hijos, es decir, la familia.
De esta base que el creador da, se han de seguir los principios y valores para que la vida en familia sea la correcta, un lugar de aceptación, valoración, respeto, cuidado, protección y provisión, que son acciones que demuestran amor, pero no ése amor humano que se basa en emoción y sentimiento, sino el amor divino que inspira y capacita para amar en verdad. Cuando se recibe se puede dar.
Dos fundamentos vitales para la familia es el amor a Dios con todo el ser, y al prójimo como a sí mismo. (Mateo 22)
