Son un regalo del Señor para perfeccionar su obra en la tierra
“Cada uno de ustedes ha recibido de Dios alguna capacidad especial. Úsela bien en el servicio a los demás”
1 Pedro 4:10 TLA
Los dones y talentos son un regalo que Dios nos dio para perfeccionar su obra en esta tierra, así que toda persona que recibe a Cristo tiene por lo menos un don.
La iglesia es un cuerpo que está conformado por muchos miembros y cada uno tiene su función, desde el más pequeño hasta el más grande; la iglesia funciona en esta tierra gracias a que cada uno logra ser eficaz y eficiente para lo que fue llamado.
Te recuerdo que estas capacidades se nos confirieron para ponerlas al servicio de los demás, nunca para nuestro beneficio.
Desde que recibimos a Cristo como Salvador, nuestro siguiente paso a descubrir es ¿Cuál es mi don y como puedo usarlo? Puede ser un reto encontrar una respuesta a esta pregunta de manera inmediata y precisa, a veces será prueba y error.
Esta pregunta me la formulé desde muy joven cuando comencé a involucrarme en mi iglesia local, veía como algunos tenían muy claro su área de servicio y servían con sus dones, así que te voy a compartir algunos tips que me ayudaron a descubrirlos:
1. Ora: Mediante la oración alineamos nuestro corazón con la voluntad de Dios, así que lo primero que debes hacer es orar pidiendo dirección al Espíritu Santo.
2. Lee todo el inventario de dones y talentos que están escritos en la Biblia y pregúntale a Dios ¿con cuál de ellos quieres usar mi vida para servir a los demás?
Recuerda que la base de los dones y talentos es el amor.
3. Involúcrate en tu iglesia local: si quieres descubrir cuál es tu don y talento lo mejor que puedes hacer es buscar áreas de servicio. Estoy segura de que en tu iglesia hay muchos ministerios que están necesitando personas comprometidas y dispuestas a ayudar. En la medida que te vas involucrando siempre debes preguntarte ¿soy bueno haciendo esto? ¿Disfruto lo que estoy haciendo? Y pide la
opinión de tus líderes espirituales, tal vez ellos vean virtudes en ti que tú no estás visualizando.
4. Y, por último, jamás te compares. Recuerda que cada uno de nosotros fuimos hechos con un propósito y asignación especial, vas a descubrir tus dones en la medida que Dios te va procesando. Habrá lugares, personas y momentos especiales que te llevarán a poner en marcha lo que ha preparado para ti.
Dice Efesios 2:10 “Porque somos hechura suya, creados en Cristo Jesús para buenas obras, las cuales Dios preparó de antemano para que anduviésemos en ellas”
How to discover my gifts and talents in God
They are a gift from the Lord to perfect His work on earth.
“Each of you has received from God some special ability. Use it well in service to others.”
1 Peter 4:10 NASB
The gifts and talents are a gift that God gave us to perfect his work on this earth, so every person who receives Christ has at least one advantage.
The church is a body that is made up of many members, and each has its function, from the least to the greatest; the church functions on this earth thanks to the fact that each one manages to be effective and efficient in what he is called.
I remind you that these capacities were given to us to put them at the service of others, never for our benefit.
Since we received Christ as Savior, our next discovery step is: What is my gift, and how can I use it? It can be a challenge to find an answer to this question immediately and accurately; sometimes, it will be trial and error.
I asked myself this question at a very young age when I started to get involved in my local church, I saw how some people were very clear about their area of service and served with their gifts, so I am going to share with you some tips that helped me to discover them:
1. Pray: Through prayer, we align our hearts with God’s will, so the first thing you should do is pray, asking for direction from the Holy Spirit.
2. Read the entire inventory of gifts and talents written in the Bible and ask God which of them do you want to use your life to serve others?
Remember that the basis of the gifts and talents is love.
3. Get involved in your local church: if you want to discover your gift and talent, the best thing you can do is look for service areas. I am sure many ministries in your church require committed people willing to help. As you get involved, you should always ask yourself, am I good at this? Do I enjoy what I am doing? And ask for the

4. And finally, never compare yourself. Remember that each of us was made with a unique purpose and assignment; you will discover your gifts as God processes you. There will be amazing places, people and moments that will lead you to put into action what He has prepared for you.
Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
